Boston Neck Road housing development RFP
The town issued an RFP for two wetland parcels at Boston Neck and Old Boston Neck Road and received two developer proposals — 24 cottages or 57-unit three-story buildings. Dozens of neighbors packed the meeting saying they learned of it only through word of mouth, citing traffic, wetlands, water and sewer capacity, and safety. Councilors say it's exploratory and no decision has been made.
Old Boston Neck Road comprehensive permit dispute
Attorney Patrick Dougherty warned the town may face litigation over the 500 Old Boston Neck Road affordable housing permit, saying the town missed mandatory deadlines and a certificate of failure to act was demanded March 3. The board declined to enter executive session after he made clear the board itself won't be sued.
