Zoning dimensional regulations and setback amendment (15% modification)

The council is walking back parts of the 2023 zoning changes by restoring the 15% dimensional modification and adjusting rear and side yard setbacks, which critics say will allow bigger houses on small lots. Supporters say it makes modest home improvements cheaper and faster for seniors and young families. First reading passed 3-0-1; a second reading and final vote are still ahead.
