Collection at Barney second-floor deck

An abutter at 1 Russo Court said the deck, about 17-20 feet from her second-floor bedroom, would create noise and privacy problems, and presented Sanborn map evidence suggesting no second-level deck existed historically.

A resident at the dead end of Russo Court said cumulative deck noise in the neighborhood has grown since 1988 and would worsen with another deck, keeping her awake in summer with open windows.

A Barney Street resident enthusiastically supported the renovation, saying she likes hearing people enjoy their decks and praising the cleanup of dilapidated buildings.
